Grade
There is no place to hide in a chair.
Yves Béhar said that when Herman Miller asked him for a work chair. Every part is structure or touch. He looked at how a bridge hangs a road from cables — no heavy frame around the edge — and made an unframed elastomer back that flexes where you move, opens for air, and refuses extra material. Harmonic Tilt for the recline. Less, on purpose. Almost entirely recyclable when you are done.
These already had an office. The office closed. We pulled about seventy-five off the floor. All used. Condition is not a single word: some barely sat, some spent much of their time. We are grading as we go — Light use, Medium, Well-loved — placeholder counts until each chair is photographed for real. White frame, charcoal seat. New they list around $1,045. Local pickup. You bring the car — or a van.
